Formula 1 returns to Spa-Francorchamps this weekend for the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix, with the championship battle tightening at the front. Kimi Antonelli remains the standings leader, but his retirement at Silverstone allowed Mercedes team-mate George Russell to reduce the gap to 25 points after scoring a podium at his home race.
Ferrari also arrives with momentum. Charles Leclerc claimed his first victory since 2024 at Silverstone, while Lewis Hamilton added podium finishes in both the Sprint and Grand Prix. The result is a renewed Mercedes-Ferrari contest heading into one of the calendarâs most demanding venues.

Track action begins on Friday, July 17, with Free Practice 1 at 13:30 local time, followed by Free Practice 2 at 17:00. The final practice session starts at 12:30 on Saturday, July 18, before Qualifying at 16:00.

The 44-lap Belgian Grand Prix begins at 15:00 local time on Sunday, July 19. Global start times for the race are available through the eventâs official schedule.
Every session will be available live on F1 TV Pro in selected countries. The service includes onboard cameras from all 22 cars, Pre-Race and Post-Race Shows, and commentary in six languages without advertising breaks. It can be streamed through Apple TV, Chromecast Generation 2 and above, Android TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

F1 TV Premium offers live coverage in 4K Ultra HD/HDR on up to six devices, along with a personalised Multiview feature on selected devices and 26 feeds to choose from. F2, F3, F1 ACADEMY and Porsche Supercup sessions are also available live on the platform. Live timing will be provided on F1.com and the F1 app throughout the weekend.
The race takes place at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a venue known for its flowing corners, including Eau Rouge and Radillon, Pouhon and the Bus Stop. Teams must balance downforce requirements with the challenge of a track that is frequently affected by rain. The latest Spa forecast points to another potentially wet Belgian Grand Prix weekend, with warm conditions and a high chance of precipitation expected across the sessions.

Drivers have yet to face a wet-weather race in 2026. Antonelli will therefore seek to put his reliability problems behind him, while Hamilton carries a strong record at Spa with six pole positions.
F2 begins with Free Practice at 11:05 on Friday, followed by Qualifying at 16:00. The Sprint Race starts at 14:15 on Saturday, with the Feature Race at 10:00 on Sunday. Nikola Tsolov leads the standings entering Round 8.
F3 Free Practice is scheduled for 09:55 on Friday and Qualifying for 15:00. The Sprint Race runs at 10:00 on Saturday, while the Feature Race starts at 08:30 on Sunday. Ugo Ugochukwu leads the championship.
Tickets for Spa-Francorchamps are also available for fans who want to experience the Belgian Grand Prix trackside.
