The Cadillac Formula 1 team is set to embrace its American roots this weekend, unveiling a striking, patriotic livery for the Miami Grand Prix. As the team prepares for its first-ever home race, the new design serves as a visual celebration of the United States, incorporating the iconic stars and stripes into the team's aesthetic.
The team’s maiden challenger, the MAC-26—named in honor of American motorsport legend Mario Andretti—typically features a stark black-and-white livery, a design famously introduced via a high-profile $20 million Super Bowl advertisement earlier this year. For the Floridian contest, however, the team has opted for a more vibrant approach. The updated look prominently features the red, white, and blue of the U.S. flag, with the rear wing receiving a particularly colorful treatment, proudly displaying the 'USA' acronym.
Chief brand advisor Cassidy Towriss emphasized that the design choice was intended to be both meaningful and understated. "The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It's deliberate and confident," Towriss stated. "This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognize what they've come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time. There's no place like home."

Cadillac’s debut season in the world championship has been a period of steady learning. Following the opening three rounds, the team’s best result remains a 13th-place finish, secured by Valtteri Bottas in China. As the team looks to improve its standing, the Miami weekend presents a unique opportunity to make an impression in front of a home crowd.
The challenge of performing well at the Miami International Autodrome is well-documented. For context, the best result achieved by an American car at this venue remains Kevin Magnussen’s 10th-place finish for Haas in 2023—a race where the Dane qualified an impressive fourth before slipping back through the field. As teams prepare for the weekend, they will also be navigating the latest technical and regulatory updates that continue to shape the 2026 season. With the weather forecast suggesting potential rain, Cadillac will be hoping their new look is matched by a strong performance on track.
