FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 have unveiled redesigned championship logos, marking a deliberate effort to sharpen the visual identity of the sport's premier feeder series and reinforce their connection to Formula 1.
The revamped logos strip both brands back to single-colour designs, delivering what the championships describe as a cleaner and more modern aesthetic. F2 retains its well-established blue colour scheme — a visual cue already familiar to fans of the series — while F3 undergoes a more striking transformation, replacing its previous grey and red combination with a bold new orange palette.

The choice of orange for F3 was not arbitrary. According to the series, the colour was selected to reflect the "dynamic, energetic and vibrant nature" of the championship, qualities that align with the youthful and fiercely competitive character of F3 racing.
The rebrand carries clear support from the top of the motorsport pyramid. FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem framed the change in terms of strategic importance, stating: "FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 are fundamental pillars of our global single-seater pathway, nurturing the talent that will shape the future of Formula 1 and world motorsport. These new visual identities modernise both championships while reinforcing their important place within the FIA pyramid and their connection to the pinnacle of our sport."

Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali echoed that sentiment, emphasising the role both series play in developing drivers bound for the grid: "Formula 2 and Formula 3 are a critical part of our sport, providing the training and framework for drivers to reach Formula 1. It is important that it is clear to fans how the pyramid operates and having a clean, modern visual identity that complements F1 helps to deliver that."
The pathway in action is evident in stories like that of Leonardo Fornaroli, who recently completed his third McLaren F1 test at COTA — a reminder of just how directly F2 feeds into the sport's highest level.
Formula 2 has operated under its current name since rebranding from GP2 in 2017, with FIA Formula 3 following suit two years later in 2019. The new logos represent the most significant visual update for both series since those rebrands.
F2 and F3 CEO Bruno Michel confirmed the collaboration behind the project: "Our aim was to better visually convey the journey towards Formula 1 through the elite motorsport pyramid. Blue has always been F2's colour and is well recognised by its fans, and for F3, we've taken the opportunity to inject a brand-new, vibrant and dynamic orange into the logo, which we believe the fans will love."
The new branding will be rolled out across all digital channels, broadcast graphics, trackside signage, and promotional materials.
