Formula 1's hospitality arms race is showing no signs of slowing down — and one brand is taking it to an entirely new level. The Pop-Up Hotel has announced plans to introduce a trackside swimming pool and swim-up bar at Silverstone as part of a significantly expanded race weekend offering for the 2026 British Grand Prix.
Best known for its luxury accommodation experiences at Glastonbury Festival, The Pop-Up Hotel will establish a temporary hotel village inside the Silverstone circuit grounds — a concept designed to blur the line between premium festival living and Formula 1 entertainment.

Located close to the paddock, The Pop-Up Hotel's Silverstone site will offer guests accommodation, restaurants, bars, and live programming across the full race weekend. The headline addition for 2026 is the swimming pool, which will overlook the circuit itself — allowing guests to watch on-track action without ever leaving the water.
The concept is a direct response to the surging appetite for immersive, entertainment-led experiences that has come to define the modern Formula 1 weekend. As the sport's commercial footprint continues to expand — with F1 revenue reaching record highs in 2026 — brands are increasingly competing to offer something that goes beyond a grandstand seat and a hospitality tent.

The Pop-Up Hotel founder Mark Sorrill captured that shift directly: "Formula 1 is evolving rapidly, and we see a huge opportunity to contribute to that shift. What we're building at Silverstone isn't just somewhere to stay, it's a fully immersive experience."
The brand's 2025 Silverstone debut already demonstrated its ability to attract high-profile guests, with Lando Norris, Isack Hadjar, and Jenson Button among those who visited the site. For 2026, the marquee name is considerably more storied.
1992 Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell will stay on-site across the race weekend and participate in a series of live events — a booking that adds genuine motorsport heritage to what is otherwise a luxury lifestyle proposition.
"The Pop-Up Hotel is bringing something genuinely different to Silverstone, and I'm really looking forward to staying there this year," Mansell said. "To have that level of comfort and hospitality right inside the circuit, with great food, a relaxed atmosphere and everything taken care of, makes a huge difference across a race weekend."
The live programming schedule will include a recording of The Fast and the Curious podcast with Greg James, Betty Glover, and Christian Hewgill. Mansell will appear alongside former Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert — co-host of The Race's Stay on Track podcast — for what promises to be a weekend rich in paddock conversation and insider perspective.
Premium access comes at a premium price. The entry-level package starts at £3,799 for two people covering four nights across the race weekend. General admission Grand Prix tickets are not included in that figure, but the price does cover hospitality parking with a chauffeur transfer from the car park, 24-hour reception and concierge, private security, premium bathroom facilities, and access to trackside dining.
It is a significant outlay — but one that reflects the deliberate positioning of The Pop-Up Hotel at the top end of the race weekend experience market, where the circuit itself becomes something more akin to a festival village than a sporting venue.
