The 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is set to be another grueling test of endurance, strategy, and racecraft. Navigating multi-class traffic around the Circuit de la Sarthe for a full day requires absolute precision, and this yearâs entry list features some of the best talent in global motorsport. Among the 186 drivers taking the start are two women who arrive with serious momentum and realistic ambitions of fighting at the front of their respective classes.
Doriane Pin is a major focal point this weekend, but she is one of exactly two female drivers slated to start the main 24-hour race this year. Both women happen to be French, though they are carving entirely different paths through the endurance ranks.
Returning to Le Mans for her second appearance, Pin will compete in the highly competitive LMP2 class with Duqueine Team, sharing the #30 Oreca 07-Gibson with Julien Andlauer and Richard Verschoor.

Joining Pin on the grid is Lilou Wadoux, who is making her fourth appearance at Le Mans. Wadoux is competing in the LMGT3 class as an established Ferrari factory driver. She shares the #150 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo with Custodio Toledo and Riccardo Agostini.
While Pin arrives as a multi-discipline prospect moving smoothly between single-seaters (F1 Academy) and prototypes, Wadoux returns as a proven GT specialist and a former IMSA Endurance Cup champion.
Note on the Hypercar Class: While Pin and Wadoux are the only two women starting the race, Jamie Chadwick also made headlines this week by driving the Genesis Magma Racing Hypercar during Sunday's Test Day. Acting as a reserve driver, Chadwick became the first woman to pilot a top-class Hypercar around the Circuit de la Sarthe.
With only two women on the grid, representation remains sparse. However, both Pin and Wadoux bring serious credentials to their respective garages. They aren't just entries on a list â both are genuine contenders for class podiums in this weekend's race.
