Cadillac has launched a bold new content series to accompany its debut in Formula 1, and the man leading the charge is someone who knows a thing or two about commanding attention: Terry Crews.
The 18-part YouTube series, titled Crews Control, will follow the actor and TV personality — best known for his role in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine — as he goes behind the scenes with the Cadillac F1 team throughout its inaugural season. Named as an official Cadillac ambassador at the start of 2026, Crews will immerse himself in the culture, the politics, and the fan experiences that have turned Formula 1 into the global phenomenon it has become.

The first episode is already available to watch on YouTube, and it drops fans straight into the action: Crews joins the team at Silverstone in January 2026, where the Cadillac F1 car turned a wheel in anger for the very first time.
For Crews, this isn't simply a celebrity endorsement deal — it carries genuine personal significance. Growing up, his father worked for General Motors, the co-owner of the Cadillac F1 team alongside TWG Motorsports. The ambassadorship, by his own account, feels like a natural fit.

Speaking to The Race about Cadillac's entry into the championship, Crews was characteristically direct: "The fact that we [an American manufacturer] were not in Formula 1, I thought was the biggest misstep ever and it's a glaring omission that has finally been corrected by Cadillac."
"When you're talking about the history of what Cadillac is in the automotive industry, it's luxury, it's the best, it symbolises so many wonderful things."
The self-described 'professional hype man and aspiring F1 expert' also framed the opportunity in the context of a career that spans decades and includes a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"I've had a 30-year career, I have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and to be here right now is just as important as being on the set of Brooklyn Nine-Nine or on the set of White Chicks," he added.

The arrival of Cadillac on the Formula 1 grid is part of a broader story about the sport's explosive growth in North America — a phenomenon that has attracted record revenues and global media deals as the championship continues to expand its commercial footprint.
Crews Control is a direct product of that cultural shift — a series designed not just for hardcore fans, but for the rapidly growing audience that has discovered F1 in recent years. With 18 episodes planned for the debut season, Cadillac is clearly committed to telling its story both on and off the track.
