FIA Formula 3 returns this weekend for Round 6 of the 2026 season, with Spa-Francorchamps hosting the first leg of another double-header. With four rounds and nine races remaining, the championship has entered a decisive phase—and Ugo Ugochukwu has built the advantage everyone else must now address.
The Campos Racing driver heads to Belgium after a record-breaking Sprint Race victory at Silverstone, where he achieved the largest winning margin in F3 Sprint Race history. That result extended his run to three consecutive podium finishes and gave him an 18-point lead over Freddie Slater.

Slater remains one of the season’s leading performers, but the TRIDENT driver is still searching for his first FIA F3 victory. Spa offers an encouraging opportunity: TRIDENT has won six times at the circuit, including four Feature Race victories. Slater has also finished on the Sunday podium at every round except Barcelona, where he took eighth.

Ugochukwu’s teammate Théophile Nael sits a further 26 points behind the leader. After beginning the year with exceptional qualifying form, the Frenchman has struggled for consistency. His third place in the Silverstone Sprint was his only scoring finish in the previous four races.
Noah Stromsted is fourth in the standings, but the TRIDENT driver trails Ugochukwu by 90 points. With the season moving into its second half, every error, incident and missed opportunity will carry greater weight.

After the heat of the previous races, rain is again a threat at Spa-Francorchamps. Friday and Saturday are currently most likely to see precipitation, while Sunday is expected to remain dry.
The circuit’s roughly seven-kilometre layout creates an additional complication: showers can affect one section while leaving another dry. Teams and drivers may therefore face a difficult tyre call—switch to wet tyres, or remain on slicks and risk losing time through a costly pit stop if most of the track stays dry.

Maciej Gladysz will try to carry his maiden F3 win into Spa after being promoted to victory at Silverstone following post-race penalties. ART Grand Prix teammates Taito Kato and Kanato Le are also chasing their first wins after showing flashes of potential.
Bruno del Pino will aim to revive his early-season consistency and return to the top 10 in qualifying. Hiyu Yamakoshi, meanwhile, has scored in every race since the Monte Carlo Feature Race apart from the Silverstone Sprint.
Rodin Motorsport’s Pedro Clerot and Brando Badoer arrive in the top 10 with two podiums apiece, targeting further progress at a circuit where the team has previously won.
