Haas will race with a bold new look at this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, unveiling a striking Godzilla-inspired livery on its VF-26. The special design follows the American team’s season-long collaboration with the studio behind the iconic character, bringing the ‘king of monsters’ to the Formula 1 grid.
The unique branding will feature prominently on the cars of Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon at Suzuka, marking the first appearance of the livery. Haas has also confirmed that the Godzilla theme will return later in the season at the United States Grand Prix in October.
After Racing Bulls, Haas becomes the second of the eleven Formula 1 teams to adopt a one-off look for the Suzuka weekend, adding extra visual intrigue to one of the calendar’s most celebrated events.
The special livery arrives at a time when Haas is enjoying a strong start to the campaign — at least on one side of the garage.
While Esteban Ocon is still searching for his first points of the season, Oliver Bearman has delivered an impressive opening run. The young Briton has scored in all three races so far, highlighted by a standout fifth-place finish at the Chinese Grand Prix.
That consistency leaves Bearman fifth in the drivers’ standings on 17 points, underlining his early-season impact. In the constructors’ championship, Haas currently sits fourth — notably ahead of Red Bull — a position that reflects the team’s competitive form in the opening phase of the year.
With momentum on track and a headline-grabbing design off it, Haas heads to Suzuka combining performance with spectacle.
One-off liveries often serve as marketing showcases, but timing can amplify their significance. For Haas, debuting the Godzilla collaboration during a period of strong results only strengthens the narrative around the team’s upward trajectory.
All eyes will now be on Suzuka — not only for the racing, but for one of the most eye-catching cars on the grid.
