Ferrari has unveiled a striking special race suit for Charles Leclerc ahead of his home race at the Monaco Grand Prix — and the Maranello outfit has departed dramatically from tradition to mark the occasion.
Instead of the iconic all-red livery synonymous with the Scuderia, Leclerc will take to the streets of Monte Carlo in an almost entirely white suit, adorned with red accents and stripes running down the sides — a clear nod to the red-and-white colours of the Monaco flag. It is a subtle but powerful statement, and one that carries obvious personal weight for the Monégasque driver.

Speaking in a video posted on Ferrari's official Formula 1 social media channels, Leclerc was candid about what racing at home means to him.
"To race at home is very, very special," he said. "Those are the streets that I've been taking my bus since I was a kid, and there's just something about Monaco. On the track, whichever corner I am in, I've got a story of my childhood or from when I started racing. There's a bit of a personal story everywhere around the track, and that's why it makes it so special for me."

Those words capture the unique emotional charge that Monaco carries for Leclerc — a circuit where memory and motorsport are inseparable. With Ferrari expected to be among the frontrunners at Monaco this year, the stage is set for a memorable home appearance.
The reveal quickly sparked debate among the fanbase. On Reddit, the response was enthusiastic — though not without a hint of knowing irony. "Looks better than the actual suit, now we pray for the car," one user commented, while another echoed the sentiment: "Now just please have a car livery to match!"
The suit's predominantly white design also drew comparisons to Leclerc's early career. Several fans pointed out the resemblance to his Sauber race suit from his 2018 rookie season — the year before he joined Ferrari. "It looks like his old Sauber (Alfa Romeo) racesuit tbh," one fan noted, with another adding: "It's like he's an Alfa driver all over again."
The reveal also prompted fans to wonder whether Leclerc's team-mate Lewis Hamilton might receive similar treatment ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. "Does this mean we get a Lewis Silverstone special suit?" one fan asked — a question that, for now, remains unanswered.
The Monaco Grand Prix takes place around the streets of Monte Carlo from 5–7 June.
