Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc have been summoned to appear before the Monaco Grand Prix stewards on Friday morning, following an unusual rules breach during Thursday's media day.
Both drivers were found to be in breach of Article B10.1.1a of the sporting regulations, the provision that governs late attendance at the official FIA press conference. Norris and Leclerc were part of the first of two driver groups scheduled for Thursday's session, and both failed to attend on time.

Leclerc, the home favourite racing on the streets of Monaco, must present himself before the stewards at 10:00 local time on Friday. Norris — the reigning world champion — is set to follow ten minutes later at 10:10.
While the summons may appear serious, the precedent for this type of infringement suggests the consequences are unlikely to be severe. Previously, late arrival at the FIA press conference has either gone unpunished or resulted in nothing more than a formal reprimand to the driver involved. Neither outcome would carry any sporting penalty in terms of grid positions or championship points.

Still, the timing is notable. Leclerc heads into his home race with considerable expectation on his shoulders — and with fresh momentum after recently committing his long-term future to Ferrari. Meanwhile, Norris and McLaren have publicly identified Ferrari as the pre-race favourites in Monaco, making the on-track battle between the two protagonists one of the weekend's most compelling storylines.
The stewards' decisions on Friday morning are expected to be a brief formality, but the full weekend still lies ahead for both drivers.
