Abbi Pulling signed off a strong Donington Park weekend with another podium — but not before putting herself firmly in the fight for victory.
Starting sixth on the grid for the final race of Round 6, Pulling made another electric start, immediately throwing herself into podium contention with a brave move around the outside to climb to third.
And she wasn't content to settle there.
As the battle at the front intensified, Pulling stayed within striking distance of the leaders before making a spectacular move around the outside at Coppice to take the lead.
For a moment, it looked like the Rodin Motorsport driver might be on course for a second GB3 victory.
But the lead changed hands again. With the tyres still dirty from her earlier battle, Pulling fought to defend her position through several corners before a late lunge at the final corner dropped her back to second.
She wasn't finished.
Pulling continued to attack through the Craner Curves, but a moment running slightly wide cost her another position and she slipped back to third. From there, she kept the pressure on the two cars ahead, remaining within DRS range as the battle for victory went down to the flag.
She ultimately crossed the line in P3, securing her second podium of the weekend.
It capped a hugely encouraging weekend for Pulling, who had started Saturday with P4 in Q1 before taking third in Race 1. After a P9 finish in Race 2, she bounced back once again in the finale — and arguably produced her most impressive drive of the weekend.
The result also marks Pulling's fourth GB3 podium of her career, following her maiden podium in 2025 and her historic first GB3 victory at Spa earlier this season.
More importantly, Donington showed that when the opportunity came, Pulling had the pace and racecraft to fight at the very front.
As she put it after the weekend: "It's not how you start, it's how you finish."
And after a difficult run of races earlier in the season, two trophies from Donington is a pretty convincing way to start doing exactly that.
