Welcome to the 2026 racing season! If you're looking for the ultimate second-screen experience and want to put your motorsport knowledge to the test, the Formula Live Pulse app has just launched an exciting new free-to-play game for this year: Pulse Predictions.
Whether you're backing Lewis Hamilton in his new Ferrari era, cheering for rookie Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls, or curious to see how Valtteri Bottas performs with the new Cadillac team, Pulse Predictions lets you get in on the action every single race weekend.
Here is your complete guide on how to play, make your picks, and rack up the points!
Getting started is simple. Open the Formula Live Pulse app and navigate to the Pulse Predictions tab. You'll be greeted with a list of all upcoming events, starting with the season opener at the Australian Grand Prix.
Important: Make sure to lock in your predictions before the countdown timer hits zero! The window usually closes right before the first practice session begins.
Once a race is open for predictions, you'll need to make your picks across the entire race weekend:
1. Friday & Saturday Sessions Start by predicting the fastest drivers leading up to the race:
Practice 1, 2, & 3: Guess the fastest driver of each practice session (or the Sprint Pole-sitter/Sprint Race winner on Sprint weekends).
Qualifying: Pick the driver you believe will secure Pole Position.
2. Sunday's Main Event Race day is where the biggest points are up for grabs. You will need to predict:
Race Winner: Who will cross the finish line first?
Fastest Lap: Which driver will set the fastest lap of the race?
The Podium: Guess the exact order of the drivers that will jump on the podium (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
Safety Car: A simple "Yes" or "No" toggle---will a Safety Car be deployed during the Sunday race?
DNFs (Did Not Finish): Guess the total number of drivers that will retire and not finish the race.

If you want to dominate the leaderboard, you need to understand the point system. A flawless weekend can net you a massive 720 Total Max Points! Here is the breakdown of how you score:
Free Practice / Sprint Sessions (Sessions 1-3): 5 pts for each correct fastest driver.
Pole Position (Session 4): 5 pts.
Race Winner: 25 pts.
Fastest Lap: 10 pts.
Safety Car: 5 pts.
Podium Finishes: You earn 10 pts if you guess a driver's exact position (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). If your picked driver finishes on the podium but in a different position than you guessed, you still get a safety net of 5 pts.
To reach that 720-point maximum, you'll need to activate the massive bonus multipliers by nailing the toughest predictions:
DNFs Multiplier (x2): Correctly guess the exact total number of DNFs.
Podium Multiplier (x2): Guess the exact 1-2-3 order of the podium finishers.
Perfect Prediction (x2): The holy grail. Guess absolutely all predictions correctly for the ultimate weekend multiplier!
Before the lights go out in Melbourne, make sure you understand the fine print. You can find all the official rules, eligibility details, and terms and conditions for the Pulse Predictions game directly on our website here.
