Jamie Chadwick champions Abbi Pulling's Indy NXT ambitions after Williams F1 test

Williams Formula 1 team ambassador Jamie Chadwick is taking active steps to support the next generation of talent, revealing she is contacting former sponsors to assist Abbi Pulling in securing a race seat. Pulling is currently targeting a position in the United States-based Indy NXT championship following a recent test in the IndyCar feeder series.

Mentorship and Support for Pulling

“I really hope she can get a seat over there,” the three-time W Series champion explained. “I absolutely loved the two years I spent over with Andretti in Indy NXT, so I've emailed a couple of old sponsors and stuff to try and help her out, because I'd love to see that happen for her.”

A Historic Milestone at Portimao

While advocating for Pulling, Chadwick also celebrated a significant personal achievement. Her recent test at Portimao, where she completed 32 laps in the 2025 Williams F1 car, was described by the 28-year-old as a “phenomenal day and an incredible experience.”

For Chadwick, the opportunity was more than just a technical evaluation; it was a full-circle moment. She noted the inspiration she drew from watching Susie Wolff step into a Williams F1 car during her own youth. Jamie Chadwick makes history as the first woman in over a decade to drive a contemporary Williams Formula 1 car during a test at Portimao, and she is now eager to use these experiences to mentor others.

“I'd love to be able to do the same for the next generation,” Chadwick remarked. “The experience I gained today will make a real difference both to my own racing and to what I can pass on to the drivers coming through.”

Reflecting on the sheer intensity of the session, she added: “It's an experience I'll remember for a very long time - I'd go as far as saying it's been the best day of my life so far.”
