Larsen tops final day of F1 ACADEMY Navarra test as Felbermayr leads afternoon

Larsen sets the benchmark in Navarra

Alba Larsen finished the second and final day of F1 ACADEMY in-season testing at Navarra at the top of the overall timesheets, producing a 1:46.502 in the morning session for Ferrari.

The result follows Natalia Granada’s Day 1 Navarra performance, which had put the Day 1 pacesetter among the leading reference points for the test.

Morning session belongs to Ferrari

Rafaela Ferreira opened proceedings with a 1:48.504 inside the first seven minutes, but the benchmark moved quickly as Campos Racing teammate Megan Bruce, Jade Jacquet and Felbermayr each took turns at the front.

Larsen then established herself as the driver to beat with a 1:47.403. She briefly spun at Turn 6 while searching for the limit, but rejoined and immediately continued her progress, lowering the benchmark to 1:47.138 and moving two tenths clear of Palmowski.

A red flag followed after a car stopped at Turn 17. Once the session resumed, Palmowski closed to within 0.007s of Larsen before twice improving on the Dane’s time. Her 1:46.950 placed her fastest by 0.098s over Nina Gademan.

Gademan briefly moved to the top, but Larsen answered with a lap four tenths quicker. Felbermayr reduced the gap to 0.065s, while Turn 6 remained a problem area for Esmee Kosterman and Payton Westcott, who both went off.

Robertson was the busiest driver, completing 93 laps, and made a late improvement to take third. Palmowski ended the morning fourth, ahead of Gademan, Ella Stevens and Granada. Lloyd, Westcott and Billard completed the top 10.

Felbermayr edges Palmowski after lunch

Ava Dobson was first back on track, while Felbermayr soon set a 1:47.750 to lead. Rodin Motorsport teammate Lloyd briefly displaced her before Robertson became the first afternoon runner into the 1:46s.

Felbermayr reclaimed first with a 1:46.722 late in the opening hour. Rising temperatures then produced a quieter second phase, interrupted by a red flag after Dobson spun at Turn 9 and became stuck in the gravel.

Palmowski’s final push brought her within 0.016s, but Felbermayr held on. Robertson finished third, 0.129s off the afternoon lead, with Billard, Stevens and Lloyd ensuring all three Rodins ended inside the top six.

Kaylee Countryman and Ferreira followed, while Larsen and Gademan completed the top 10. Mathilda Paatz did not participate because of prior racing commitments.

The in-season test is now complete. Track action resumes on Friday at 08:30 local time (UTC+2), when 18 Rookie Test drivers will take part in F1 ACADEMY machinery.
