Maciej Gladysz was declared the winner of the FIA Formula 3 Feature Race at Silverstone after a post-race sequence of penalties dramatically reshaped the final classification. The ART Grand Prix rookie finished fourth on the road, but the result changed significantly once the stewardsâ decisions were applied.
The first shift came at the chequered flag, when Theophile Nael was handed a 10-second time penalty, moving Gladysz onto the podium. That was only the beginning of a wider reshuffle. A further post-race penalty for Campos Racingâs Ernesto Rivera, followed by the disqualification of TRIDENTâs Matteo De Palo for a technical infringement, elevated Gladysz to a maiden Formula 3 victory.

It was a striking reversal after De Palo had initially appeared to have claimed the result on track, with earlier Silverstone coverage noting how the TRIDENT driver had been at the centre of the Feature Race outcome. The final classification also carried championship implications. Freddie Slater and Ugo Ugochukwu, both described as championship rivals, were promoted to second and third respectively, joining Gladysz on the revised podium.

For Gladysz, the outcome delivered a breakthrough result in his rookie campaign with ART Grand Prix. While the Polish driver did not cross the line first, he remained close enough to benefit when the penalties were applied â a reminder that in junior single-seater racing, execution and legality after the flag can be just as decisive as track position.
PREMA Racingâs Louis Sharp was classified fourth, ahead of TRIDENTâs Noah Stromsted in fifth and ART Grand Prixâs Kanato Le in sixth. AIX Racingâs Yevan David took seventh, followed by Van Amersfoort Racingâs Hayu Yamakoshi and Rodin Motorsportâs Pedro Clerot.
Rivera, despite his post-race penalty, was classified in 10th place for Campos Racing, completing a final order that looked very different from the one produced at the chequered flag.
The Silverstone weekend therefore ended with a notable first: Gladyszâs maiden FIA Formula 3 win, earned through a complex but decisive post-race review that transformed fourth on the road into victory.
