Max Verstappen is set to return to the legendary Nordschleife this weekend as he continues his preparations for next month’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The Dutch driver will take part in a crucial qualifying event that shapes the grid for the endurance classic, adding another competitive outing at one of Germany’s most demanding circuits.
Verstappen has already experienced both success and frustration at the venue earlier this year. In March, he claimed victory in NLS2, only for his team to be disqualified afterwards due to a tyre-related infringement.
Now, he returns with unfinished business — and another opportunity to make his mark on the formidable circuit.
Event organisers have confirmed changes to the timetable for the upcoming qualifying weekend, with track action spread across three days.
Verstappen will get early track time with a testing session scheduled between 12:15 and 14:45 local time, providing valuable preparation ahead of the competitive sessions.
Official action begins on Saturday morning. Qualifying for the first race runs from 08:30 to 10:00, determining the starting grid.
Later in the day, the four-hour race gets underway at 17:30.
Sunday follows a different structure. Qualifying practice takes place between 08:15 and 09:45, after which the fastest drivers progress to the decisive Top Qualifying session to fight for pole position.
The second race of the weekend begins at 13:00 and concludes at 17:00, bringing the event to a close.
With track time across all three days and two races on the schedule, the weekend offers Verstappen another significant test at the Nordschleife as the countdown to the 24 Hours of Nürburgring continues.
Fans eager to see Max Verstappen take on the Green Hell won't have to miss a second of the action. You'll be able to follow him and the rest of the grid all weekend long on the official YouTube channel of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie.
