It is the end of a chapter that produced titles, milestones, and some of the most compelling racing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Porsche and Andretti have confirmed that their partnership in the all-electric series will conclude at the end of the 2025/26 season — a split that marks a significant moment in Formula E's evolving landscape.
The collaboration between Andretti and Porsche began at the start of Season 9 in 2023, but its roots run far deeper than a simple commercial arrangement. The two names share a storied motorsport history — most notably the father-son pairing of Mario and Michael Andretti, who lined up as teammates at Le Mans alongside the Porsche brand in one of motorsport's most iconic races. More recently, the late John Andretti carried the Porsche emblem at the Daytona 24 Hours in 2008, the last time the two names were formally aligned before Formula E brought them back together.

When the partnership was formalised ahead of Season 9, it carried the weight of that legacy — and it delivered almost immediately.
In Andretti's debut season as a Porsche customer team, the results were emphatic. Jake Dennis claimed the drivers' title with a margin of 30 points, a commanding display that announced the team's competitive intent from the outset. The following season, it was Porsche's own Pascal Wehrlein who sealed the championship — a result that underlined the strength of the Porsche powertrain and the wider programme's technical excellence.

With Wehrlein now leading the drivers' standings heading into the Monaco double-header — by three points, with nine races still to run — the Porsche programme remains very much a title contender as the two parties prepare to go their separate ways. As Wehrlein himself noted ahead of Monaco, "Porsche has done its homework", and the results so far this season bear that out: Porsche currently lead both the teams' and manufacturers' standings with half the campaign still to play.

As the curtain begins to fall on this partnership, the immediate focus turns to the streets of the Principality. The 2025/26 Formula E season returns for a double-header of racing action in Monaco on 16 and 17 May, with both days offering a full programme of practice, qualifying, and race action. For a full breakdown of the weekend's schedule and how to watch, everything you need to know about the 2026 Monaco Formula E double-header is available here.
Over the years, Monaco has provided the backdrop for countless moments of triumph and heartbreak in Formula E. Now, as the Porsche-Andretti era enters its final phase, the Principality's storied streets offer the perfect stage for one last push — and potentially, one more title run.
