Ricardo Escotto will remain with AIX Racing for the final two rounds of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 campaign, giving the Mexican driver continuity as the season reaches its closing phase.
AIX confirmed that Escotto will return for the Monza and Madrid race weekends. His continued involvement follows three previous appearances for the team in Barcelona, Silverstone and Spa, where he has continued to build experience in the championship.

His best results so far have come in the Sprint Races at Barcelona and Spa, with a highest finish of P22 on both occasions. The results underline the scale of the challenge ahead, but the decision to retain Escotto also reflects the progress AIX believes he has made away from the immediate focus of race-weekend results.
The announcement comes as another driver change involving the final two FIA Formula 3 rounds has also been reported, with Alex Powell joining PREMA for Monza and Madrid. For AIX, however, the emphasis is on maintaining a working relationship that has developed across the season.
AIX Racing Team Manager Kenny Kirwan said the team was pleased to welcome Escotto back and highlighted the work that has supported his progress throughout the year.
âWeâre delighted to welcome Ricardo back to the team for the remaining rounds of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. Ricardo has made significant progress throughout the season, and weâve seen first-hand how much work and commitment he has put in to continue developing as a driver.â

Kirwan pointed specifically to Escottoâs preparation with the engineers and wider team, describing that work as an important part of his development away from the spotlight. He also praised the driverâs attitude and determination, saying Escotto had continued to push both himself and the team forward.
âHis attitude, professionalism and determination have been excellent, and he has continued to push himself and the team forward. Weâre looking forward to seeing him back in the car and building on that progress together through the final rounds of the championship.â
The Monza and Madrid weekends will therefore provide Escotto with his next opportunity to convert that behind-the-scenes progress into stronger on-track performances. AIXâs decision offers him a stable platform for the championshipâs conclusion, while the team will look to build on the foundations established during his earlier outings.
