Yevan David joins Van Amersfoort Racing for 2027 F3 season

Yevan David will race for Van Amersfoort Racing in the 2027 FIA Formula 3 season, moving to the Dutch team for his second campaign in the championship.
The 19-year-old finished 18th in the Drivers’ Championship during his rookie year, scoring 35 points. His season included a podium in the Silverstone Sprint Race, a result that marked one of his strongest weekends in the series. The Silverstone F3 Sprint also featured prominently in the championship’s 2026 story.

David will bring a year of F3 experience to VAR
David’s move follows a first season in which he gained experience against the F3 field. He arrives at VAR after competing in the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship, where he finished second in the standings. That campaign yielded six victories and 14 podium finishes.
The step to a new team represents a fresh setting for his sophomore F3 season. David said joining VAR felt like the right move at the right time, citing the team’s leadership, experience and competitive approach as qualities that fit his ambitions. He also welcomed the chance to learn within the organisation and measure himself against the junior category’s strongest field.

VAR expects its new signing to build on his rookie year
Team principal Brad Joyce said David had shown considerable promise in his first F3 season, highlighting the Silverstone Sprint podium. Joyce described the move as an opportunity to place the driver in a new environment for his second year and said the team’s goal would be to convert his experience into results.
David is set to work with the team during the post-season test, which Joyce identified as a chance to begin preparations for 2027. VAR has also confirmed Enzo Deligny will remain with the team for the same season, adding another piece to its future plans.
David said he was ready to work, develop and contribute across the campaign. For VAR, the priority will be helping him turn the lessons of his rookie year into stronger results in his second season of Formula 3.
