Ferrari set the pace in the final Hypercar practice session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with Antonio Fuoco edging Genesis by just 0.015 seconds ahead of Saturday qualifying for the 6 Hours of Barcelona.

Fuoco’s best lap in the #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P was 1:31.206, enough to lead the 17-car field in a 60-minute session held in warm, sunny conditions. The Hypercar entries had the circuit to themselves.

Genesis and Cadillac keep Ferrari under pressure

Daniel Juncadella put the #19 Genesis Magma Racing GMR-001 second, just 0.015 seconds behind Fuoco. Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA continued its strong form, with the #38 Cadillac V-Series.R taking third, two-tenths of a second off the leading time. Earl Bamber, Sébastien Bourdais and Jack Aitken shared driving duties in the car.

Aston Martin THOR Team claimed fourth. The #009 Valkyrie recorded a 1:31.361, with Marco Sørensen and local driver Alex Riberas continuing to show speed. The team’s #007 entry completed the top ten.

Cadillac’s second car, the #12, finished fifth as Alex Lynn returned to the cockpit and continued getting reacquainted with the car. He had not raced it since the 2025 season finale in Bahrain.

Alpine improves as session passes without major incident

Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi brought the #35 Alpine Endurance Team A424 home in sixth. The result marked a step forward after a difficult opening two practice sessions. The #83 AF Corse Ferrari was seventh, ahead of Alpine’s #36 in eighth and the #15 BMW in ninth.

The session was largely uninterrupted. Paul Di Resta briefly went off onto the gravel in the #93 Team Peugeot TotalEnergies 9X8, prompting a short period of yellow flags, but there were no major incidents.
