LN4 Fusion will join the FIA Formula 3 grid in 2027 after acquiring selected assets from AIX Racing, including the team’s entry for the upcoming season. The new operation is backed by 2025 Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, who will serve as a co-founder.
The project has also confirmed René Rosin as Team Principal, placing experienced leadership at the centre of its arrival in one of junior single-seater racing’s most competitive championships.
The announcement forms part of a broader plan alongside the LN4 Legacy Programme, a driver-development initiative intended to create opportunities for young talent. The two projects are designed to work together: LN4 Fusion will provide the racing structure, while the Legacy Programme will focus on supporting drivers who might otherwise struggle to access the next step in their careers.

Norris said his own route to Formula 1 had shown him that talent alone is not enough to reach the top of the sport. He pointed to the importance of support, the right people and the right opportunities arriving at the right time.
“That’s what these two projects are all about,” Norris explained. “LN4 Fusion is about building a race team that can compete with the best in junior motorsport, with great people and a great environment for drivers to develop. The LN4 Legacy Programme is about helping talented young drivers get opportunities they might not otherwise have.”
For Norris, the connection between the two initiatives is deliberate. He said the aim is to create opportunities for the next generation both on and off the track, while making a meaningful difference to young drivers progressing through the sport.
Rosin described the project as an independent, vision-driven programme with strong backing, a clear long-term direction and the resources to establish it properly. He added that Norris’ experience of junior single-seaters would bring another dimension to the team.
“We want to develop a pathway through junior single-seaters and create an environment in which drivers, engineers and sporting personnel can perform at the highest level,” Rosin said.
His immediate focus will be the sporting programme: building and managing the team, establishing the technical environment and helping LN4 Fusion become competitive.
FIA Formula 3 CEO Bruno Michel welcomed the entry and said Norris’ involvement was highly positive for the championship. He also thanked everyone at AIX Racing for their work over the past three seasons.
