Noah Stromsted joins Invicta Racing for 2027 Formula 2 season

Invicta Racing has confirmed Noah Stromsted will step up to FIA Formula 2 with the team in 2027, making the British outfit the first to finalise its plans for next season. The Dane will join Freddie Slater, his Formula 3 teammate in 2026, as Invicta builds its F2 pairing.
Slaterâs own move to the team was outlined in the announcement of his 2027 Formula 2 step-up. Stromstedâs signing now completes Invictaâs driver plans for the campaign.

Stromsted earns promotion after F3 campaign
Stromsted moves up after finishing 10th in this seasonâs FIA Formula 3 standings, with a victory at the Red Bull Ring among his results. He has competed in F3 since 2024 and said that experience had prepared him for the next step.
âIâm really excited to be stepping up to FIA Formula 2 with Invicta Racing next year. Iâve learned a great deal competing in FIA Formula 3 since 2024 and I feel ready to take on the next challenge in my career,â Stromsted said.

He added that Invicta had established itself as âthe performance benchmark on the F2 gridâ over recent seasons, and said he was looking forward to meeting the team and beginning preparations for 2027. His focus, he said, was on seeing what the partnership could achieve.
Invicta backs Daneâs potential
James Robinson, Invictaâs CEO and Team Principal, said the team had followed Stromstedâs progress closely and believed he had the qualities to become a future champion. He also highlighted the importance of helping the driver make the transition into Formula 2.
âFIA Formula 3 is one of the most competitive categories in junior single-seater motorsport and, after following his progress closely, we believe that Noah has all the qualities to be a future champion,â Robinson said.
Robinson said Invicta was looking forward to supporting Stromstedâs step up and expressed anticipation at seeing him and Slater work alongside one another. With its 2027 pairing confirmed, the team has set out its driver line-up for next season, while Stromsted turns his attention to preparations for his F2 debut.
