Nick Cassidy put Peugeot ahead of Alpine by 0.040 seconds in final practice at Monza, while Alessio Rovera led LMGT3 for Vista AF Corse Ferrari.

Nick Cassidy put Peugeot on top in final practice for the 2026 WEC 6 Hours of Monza, edging Victor Martins’ Alpine by 0.040 seconds on his last lap. Alessio Rovera led LMGT3 for Vista AF Corse as both classes finished their preparations for Saturday’s qualifying on a damp but improving track.
Cassidy snatches the fastest lap from Alpine
Cassidy’s 1:42.706 in the #93 Peugeot 9X8 came after Martins had moved the #36 Alpine ahead of Robert Kubica’s #83 AF Corse Ferrari. Kubica ended the session third, 0.133 seconds off the pace, with Sheldon van der Linde fourth in the #20 BMW and the #50 Ferrari fifth.

The late changes at the top made the timing of each run matter. With grip improving, the four-tenths covering the first five cars offered only a limited guide to how they might compare in qualifying. Teams had both soft and medium slicks available alongside Michelin’s latest wet tyre. Monza Hypercar tyre guide

Ferrari’s #51 loses practice time
Bad news for the #51 Ferrari of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi. The car completed just seven laps and finished last in the session after a technical problem. Mechanics worked on the hybrid system and engine.

Rovera holds off both Iron Lynx Mercedes
Rovera’s 1:56.069 put the #21 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo 0.282 seconds clear of the #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes, with the sister #79 third. Rovera also tried slicks late in the session, according to Motorsport.com. The #33 TF Sport Corvette, which came into Monza leading the LMGT3 teams’ standings, finished fourth ahead of the #69 Team WRT BMW.

LMGT3 qualifying is scheduled for 14:20 CET on Saturday, with Hypercar qualifying at 15:00 CET. Each class has a separate Hyperpole session.
