Gabriel Bortoleto has confirmed that his Formula 1 future is tied to Audi for âmany yearsâ, although the Brazilian has chosen not to disclose the exact length of his contract.
The statement provides clarity around one of the most closely watched young drivers in the field. Bortoleto is regarded as a major talent and has made a strong impression during his first 18 months in Formula 1. His performances have been particularly significant for Audi, which is competing through its debut season in the championship.

Audiâs project is built around a clear blend of youth and experience. Bortoleto forms one half of the teamâs driver pairing alongside Nico HĂŒlkenberg, giving the German marque an established reference point alongside a driver it believes can develop with the programme over the long term.
The results underline both the potential and the scale of the task facing the Hinwil-based outfit. Audi has scored 10 points so far, with every one of them coming through Bortoleto. His eighth-place finish at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend is the teamâs best result of the 2026 season to date, as well as the Brazilianâs strongest finish of the campaign.
That result gives added weight to Bortoletoâs commitment. He is not presenting Audi as a short-term stop in his career, but as a project he wants to help build. The teamâs recent Pirelli 2027 tyre test at the Hungaroring, in which Bortoleto completed the most laps among the participating drivers, also reflects the wider development work surrounding the programme, as described in the earlier report.

Speaking to Sky F1, Bortoleto said his future had already been settled with Audi.
âMy future is already sorted with Audi,â he said when asked about his plans.
âI am there for many years, letâs put it this way. I cannot say the length of the contract, and I leave it to them if they want to make it public. I really donât mind, itâs up to them, their decision.â

He added that he hoped the partnership would produce major results in the years ahead.
âWhat I can tell you I have a long way [ahead] with them, itâs going to be many years, and hopefully we can conquer many great wins and things in the future together.â
For Audi, Bortoletoâs backing is an important foundation as it attempts to turn early promise into sustained progress in Formula 1.
