Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra have announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Bianca. The couple shared the news on Instagram on November 4, one day after Bianca’s arrival.

Their post gave her name alongside the date “3.11.26”. Leclerc, who drives for Ferrari in Formula 1, confirmed in September that he was going to become a father during a live chat on Ferrari’s Threads account.

The couple shared the news after Bianca’s arrival

Pregnancy speculation began during the Friday of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, after a video showed Alexandra arriving at the paddock with a visible bump. Neither had formally announced the pregnancy before Leclerc’s September confirmation.

Bianca is the couple’s first child. The news follows their marriage on February 28 in a private civil ceremony in Monaco. They have plans for a larger wedding in 2027. The pair have been publicly together since early 2023.

Their wedding was reported in more detail in our coverage of Leclerc and Alexandra’s marriage.

Leclerc joins a group of fathers on the F1 grid

Leclerc now joins Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen among the fathers on the current Formula 1 grid.

Before Bianca’s arrival, the possibility of Leclerc missing a race around the birth had prompted discussion of who could replace him at Ferrari. That scenario was examined here. The couple’s announcement now confirms the arrival of their daughter, Bianca.
