The two-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya gives teams and drivers another opportunity to prepare for 2027 before the winter break.

Drivers to watch in Barcelona

The 30-driver entry features one change from Jerez: Yevan David joins Van Amersfoort Racing, alongside Enzo Deligny and Rashid Al Dhaheri.

Other entrants include Mattia Colnaghi at Campos Racing, Kean Nakamura-Berta at Trident, Matteo De Palo at MP Motorsport and Alex Powell at PREMA Racing.

Nakamura-Berta arrives after topping the opening day of F3 testing in Jerez. Van Amersfoort Racing also showed pace at the first test, where Francisco Macedo led a team one-two on the second morning.

Those performances provide useful background, although Barcelona brings another opportunity for teams to work through their individual programmes.

What to look for on the live timing screen

The fastest lap is only part of the picture during post-season testing. Consistency across a run and the number of laps completed can also help explain how a driver’s session is developing.

Teams may be using different tyres, fuel loads and run plans, so the leaderboard alone cannot establish a competitive ranking.

Our report on Ernesto Rivera’s session-leading morning in Jerez illustrates why that context matters: a quick lap provides a benchmark, but comparisons remain limited without knowing each driver’s programme.

With Barcelona closing the 2026 testing schedule, the two days offer a final chance to follow the field on track before preparations continue through the winter.
