Jake Dennis says a second Formula E drivers’ title would be more rewarding than his first, with the Andretti driver arriving at the London E-Prix as championship leader after a dramatic season reversal.

Andretti’s turnaround changes the meaning of the fight

Their return to contention in the fourth year of the current car has therefore taken on a deeper significance. Dennis believes the team’s recovery, and its ability to compete against manufacturers, is as important as his own position at the top of the standings.

“It means the world to me to be able to be in this position. But I think it does to all of us,” Dennis told RacingNews365. “I’m just happy and proud of the team and myself to be able to fight for the title.”

He added that Andretti had managed to “turn it back around” after two difficult seasons, calling the achievement “seriously impressive” and saying he was particularly proud of the team for putting him in contention again.

A more rewarding potential triumph

Dennis made clear that becoming a two-time world champion would reflect the work required to rebuild the team’s campaign. He pointed to the time spent away from home, at the factory, developing and working, while also acknowledging Felipe’s contribution to the title challenge.

“It would probably be the most rewarding because we’ve really had to turn this team around compared to where we were last year and then the year before,” he said.

For Dennis, the London E-Prix is not simply an opportunity to add another championship. It is the final test of a comeback built through sustained effort from both driver and team.
