2026 Singapore GP track map reveals five Straight Mode zones

The updated track map for the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix has been revealed, showing how Formula 1's new Straight Mode and Overtake Mode systems will work around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The 4.927km street circuit features five Straight Mode zones, spread across Marina Bay's main acceleration sections. The most significant include the start-finish straight and the long run towards Turn 7, traditionally one of the circuit's best overtaking opportunities.

Straight Mode forms part of F1's 2026 active aerodynamics system, allowing the front and rear wings to move into a lower-drag configuration on designated sections. Unlike the old DRS system, every driver can use Straight Mode, regardless of the gap to the car ahead.

Overtake Mode positioned late in Sector 3
The map places the Overtake Mode detection point between Turns 16 and 17, with the activation point positioned shortly after Turn 17.
A driver within one second of the car ahead at detection becomes eligible for Overtake Mode, giving them additional electrical deployment to use on the following lap.
That could be particularly important in Singapore, where overtaking has traditionally been difficult. Drivers who remain close through the final sector could use the extra electrical performance alongside Straight Mode to build an attack into Marina Bay's heavier braking zones.
The system follows the same principles already seen at circuits such as Sepang, but on Singapore's tight street layout, track position and getting within that one-second window could prove even more critical.
