
Formula 1 has revealed the updated Circuit Zandvoort track map for the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, highlighting how Straight Mode and Overtake Mode will operate around the 4.259km circuit.
The new map features two designated Straight Mode zones. The first runs between Turns 10 and 11, while the second covers the high-speed run from the banked Turn 14 onto the main straight and towards Turn 1.


Straight Mode is part of Formula 1’s new active aerodynamics system for 2026. In designated sections, the front and rear wings automatically move into a lower-drag configuration, allowing the cars to accelerate more efficiently towards top speed. Unlike the former DRS system, Straight Mode is available to all drivers in the designated zones during normal dry running.

The map also reveals Zandvoort’s Overtake Mode detection and activation points, both located in Sector 3. The detection point comes before the final part of the lap, with the activation point positioned closer to the exit of the final sequence and the approach to the main straight.
Under the 2026 regulations, a driver within one second of the car ahead at the detection point becomes eligible for Overtake Mode, providing additional electrical energy and a more aggressive deployment profile to help create an overtaking opportunity.
That positioning could make the exit from the final banked corner particularly important, with eligible drivers able to combine Overtake Mode with Straight Mode on the run towards Turn 1, traditionally one of Zandvoort’s main passing opportunities.
