Formula E heads to Tokyo this weekend for a landmark nighttime double-header, with Rounds 14 and 15 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship set to unfold beneath the lights of the Japanese capital.
The event arrives with only four rounds remaining and the title fight closer than ever. That leaves no room for error as the championship contenders tackle a circuit that offers limited opportunities to recover ground once a driver loses position.

Surrounding Tokyo Big Sight, one of Japan’s largest venues, the 18-turn, 2.575-kilometre street track combines three notable straights with intricate corner sequences and high-speed turns. Set against the Tokyo skyline, it is expected to produce a demanding contest from the opening lap to the chequered flag.
The anti-clockwise layout has undergone changes since its debut on the 2023/24 calendar, with work intended to make the surface less bumpy and improve the racing experience for drivers. This year, however, the most significant change is the switch to nighttime competition.
The narrow nature of the circuit is likely to make overtaking difficult, increasing the importance of energy management and execution. One of the clearest passing opportunities comes into Turn 1, where drivers can use the slipstream along the start-finish straight.
ATTACK MODE will be available at Turn 4 on the drivers’ right-hand side, while the Julius Baer Pole Position is positioned on the right-hand side of the grid.
